What if your calendar lets you zoom out?

When you zoom out in your calendar, it quickly stops being useful. You get numbers, tiny grids, maybe a few colored dots... but not much sense of what the year was actually about.

When you look at a year, you’re usually not checking dates. You’re peeking ahead, or looking back. Trying to remember what took up your time. Where your attention went. What each month felt like.

At that distance, individual days don’t matter that much anymore. What matters is the shape a month took.

So instead of making days smaller, I wondered what a year view would look like if it helped you zoom out. Not into dates, but into what the year was actually about.
